REVIEW: MAC Fashion Pack Lipsticks – Aim For Gorgeous, Stylist’s Tip & By Special Order

Hey beauties!

Paris Fashion Week is just around the corner and as we get excited for the coming season, let’s all take a moment to appreciate the backstage work, or more precisely, the makeup that has played a huge role in bringing out the beauty of runway pieces. When it comes to runway makeup looks, no other brand gets as much recognition as M.A.C.

M.A.C, having started off as brand exclusively for makeup artists before going down the mainstream path, is no stranger to the fashion industry. It employs hundreds of makeup artists every season to create beauty looks for fashion shows (I mean, it’s very evident from their Instagram page, isn’t it?) and is even touted as a favourite of many renowned celebrities among the plethora of luxury makeup brands in the market. For those who are wondering what beauty products were used at the fashion shows, this collection could very well be the answer!

M.A.C Fashion Pack for Summer 2016

M.A.C Fashion Pack for Summer 2016

Introducing Fashion Pack, a collection dedicated to trendsetters which fuses fashion into beauty. Inspired by high fashion catwalk models, it features bold jewel tones and fashion-forward hues you’d likely see on runway models or front-row fashion show attendees.

M.A.C Fashion Pack collection lipsticks

M.A.C Fashion Pack collection lipsticks

Fashion Pack is a relatively small collection with two choices of eye shadow palette (Runway Worthy / She’s A Model), three shades of Fluidline Pen (Privet / Indelibly Blue / Retro Black), two vibrant Studio Nail Lacquer colours and four limited-edition runway-worthy lipstick hues, out of which only three made it to my shopping cart.

But despite being dubbed the ‘collection for fashion mavens’, the first impression of the products exudes none of the sort. Sold in the oh-so boring regular M.A.C black packaging, it’s quite hard to associate the lipsticks to the glitz and glam of fashion shows and red carpet events. Such disappointment, really.

For some, a love for fashion starts young. Indeed, we develop our sense of style though dressing our dolls up in stunning outfits we picked out at toy shops when we were little. So perhaps it’s only right this collection recaptures a little of our childhood enthusiasm for fashion with Aim For Gorgeous, a bright fuchsia with Matte finish which seems very much inspired by the signature hot pink lipstick Barbie wears (although this isn’t the case).

But it is far from being as emollient as the pink on Barbie’s pouting lips. This tugs at the lips and emphasises dryness as the product make itself at home in the lip lines, hence making parched lips look wrinklier than ever. The matte texture leaves a drying effect too. That being said, it does last longer on my lips than the newer and more hydrating matte formula by M.A.C.

If you have been avoiding bold lipstick colours all your life, it’s time to throw that sense of apprehension right out the window because purple is the new black! Did you see Taraji P. Henson rocking the hue at the American Music Awards last November? Channel your inner femme fatale just like her with Stylist’s Tip, a  deep violet in Amplified finish!

While what you see here may not be the exact shade she sported on the red carpet, it’s a less intimidating purple for first-timers due to its warm/pink undertones. This universally flattering lipstick (especially on dark skin) goes on creamy, mostly opaque and renders an OK consistency. Although hydrating (look at that sheen!), the texture feels slippery and tacky which instantly turns my lips into a hair magnet (so annoying). This also does not impress me with its lower-than-expected staying power as it wears away from eating (to be fair, it probably would leave a slight stain if I had eaten like a lady but damn I was hungry). Avoid this lipstick if you have no dining etiquette like me.

Regardless of fashion trends, one can always expect to see red lipstick as a beauty staple. After all, red is arguably the first ever pigment (obtained from berries, plants, clay and yes, crushed insects, plus many more) applied to the lips way back in 3,000 BC. Several centuries later, the red lip clearly hasn’t lost any steam and is still going strong. Even though M.A.C has already made countless of red lipsticks, I agree it would be a beauty sin to pass on a lipstick hue that is largely popularised by fashion icons with the likes of Cleopatra, Queen Elizabeth I and Marilyn Monroe, especially in this fashion-inspired collection.

Described as a deep reddened fuchsia with an Amplified finish, By Special Order is, in reality, a bright red with cool undertones. As it glides smoothly like butter on the lips, it lends a very hydrating texture and even has a natural sheen to it to draw the attention away from lip wrinkles. The wash of pigmented colour from the lipstick, as well as the added pop of glossiness to the lips, enhances the overall look without being over-dramatic. On casual days, I dab this lipstick with a piece of facial tissue so that it fades to a tint. It would also help to remove some of its tackiness.

All in all, the lipstick shades in this collection, although nothing unusual, are very wearable for any look and occasion because they are not too bold (great for the faint of heart) and yet are such head-turners. The finish is generally hydrating and ideal for dry, chapped lips. I don’t see any reason not to get them if you haven’t already owned anything similar.

How do you find these lipsticks? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading 😘

Hey everyone!

I was brought up in a traditional Chinese culture that perceives gold to have higher intrinsic and market value than silver or even diamonds. This reason, coupled with the fact that it is more auspicious to give gold jewelry as gift among the Chinese, meant that most of my birthday (or first month) presents in the early years were either gold anklets, bracelets, ear studs or pendants. This custom is still pertinent now in the Singapore Chinese society especially to weddings because to the elders, nothing signifies wealth better than a qi pao bedecked with gold jewelries during tea ceremonies.

But like many modern Chinese youths today, I don’t really see the appeal of gold jewelries (apart from the fact that they are highly cashable). Not only are they expensive and passé, they are also of a very obtrusive colour that don’t go well with my eyes. In terms of appearance, I would very much prefer diamond, silver or white gold (ok rose gold isn’t too bad for a change too) to pure gold any time as they are more sophisticated-looking and less in-your-face. Did I mention how much I hate those chunky ah-beng-ish gold jewelries? Those are not statement makers. Those are awful.

No way am I gonna wear that.

No way am I gonna wear that. (source)

However, if you’re a bling lover, you probably would’ve known that good quality diamond and silver don’t come cheap either! As a person of simplicity, I don’t yearn for luxury so it’s not like me to splurge on anything ostentatious. I probably didn’t see the need to invest in any since I don’t get invited to private functions all the time. But once, I fretted over the accessories to pair with my outfit for a cousin’s sumptuous wedding (where I served as a bridesmaid) because I had none! If not for my boyfriend to give me a set of diamond jewelry for my birthday (also in the same month as the wedding), I might have to shop for some adornments at the eleventh hour and then end up spending at least a hundred bucks on something I hardly use.

And ever since someone commented how plain I looked without any accessories on, I kinda became a little more self-conscious.. which isn’t entirely a bad thing because I used to be so lazy, I didn’t give two hoots about styling myself hehe. I started with the lower-end bracelets and necklaces from blogshops, but damn, they wear and rust faster than I would’ve blown my salary on lipsticks. So I explored better alternatives like sterling silver which has gotten pretty popular recently and are supposed to be cheaper than gold or platinum jewelry. But guess what? The sterling silver bracelets and charms (for a more casual feel) I saw at a very popular jewelry chain were even pricier than my diamond jewelries combined!

You.... paid for that?

You…. paid for that? *judge mode on*

WHAT?

It’s only sterling silver leh!

I pity the poor boyfriends (especially those who are still schooling) who rush to buy Valentine’s Day gifts from these shops because they’re bound to make a big hole in their savings. But seriously, I don’t understand the hype about these overpriced charm bracelets when you can get them at a fraction of the price elsewhere! Yes, you heard me right! There are many credible shops with the same concept (though not as mainstream as you-know-what) but here’s one that’s sure to satisfy your inner bling desires!

It’s so cutesy yet stylish at the same time! Perhaps this would make a great birthday gift for your BFF or girlfriend! I’m sure she’d love it as much as I do 🙂

Oh by the way, all crystals are from Swarovski.

This basic snake bracelet can be used as the backbone of your charms or on its own! I have no charms at the moment but I may soon load the bracelet with some because I’m already eyeing on a few charm designs on the website! Having said that, the charms may not be from Soufeel because the bracelet is made in a way that it fits charms manufactured by other brands as well 🙂

Available in 8 different sizes (from 16cm to 23cm, circumference of your wrist + 1.5cm), it also features a barrel clasp to ensure the security of the bracelet and charms. To be honest, it was a little difficult for me to close the clasp with one hand but I’m confident that it would gradually be easier with more usage!

Love, Bonito Year-End-Sale 2014

Hey everyone!

It’s been such a long time since I wrote anything about apparel shopping so let’s take a short break from food posts, shall we? 🙂

Before that, I have a small confession as a shopaholic. I’m a compulsive shopper – that’s a known fact. Before I got obsessed with makeup, I used to go crazy on online shopping and would spend hundreds of dollars a week on clothes. My spendthrift ways became apparent when I was awarded the “VIP” status at Love, Bonito for being one of their top spenders in 2012. For that, I (together with a few other VIPs) was given priority over the rest in The Great Love, Bonito Sale in 2013 and was allowed to enter the room an hour ahead of everyone. No doubt it was such a rewarding experience and the privilege made me feel that all the spending was worthwhile.

Then, I had to return to school. I was forced to leave my full-time job and gradually, I started spending lesser on clothes (also because my wardrobes couldn’t take in anymore clothes and Bf was nagging incessantly at me for that) and of course, I also lost my “VIP” status on Love, Bonito.

Fast forward to October last year, I was given the opportunity to work at Love, Bonito after responding to their recruitment ad and successfully getting through the interview. I was their Photo Editor but because of school commitments, I had to leave the company after close to 4 months with them. It was one of my best working experiences and it kinda healed most of my scars from my previous long-term employment (which was beyond terrible. Read here). A few months had passed since I stepped foot into Love, Bonito office and I really missed working with the wonderful people there.

Just then, I received a text from one of my Love, Bonito ex-colleagues asking me if I was available to work during their warehouse sale in November. Without hesitation, I gave a positive reply. They must’ve heard me! Haha.

So yes, that’s just a short background story on how I got to work at the Year-End-Sale. It was a two-day event. Only two days and I felt like my legs were going to break. For days I couldn’t walk like a human being and I had to forgo my morning runs because my soles were hurting like crazy from running around non-stop at the event to replenish stocks at the racks. But that’s fine, because I really enjoyed myself! Met quite a number of great people, and of course, shopping at the sale also plays a great part in making the experience memorable 😀

Okay enough of rambles. Here are some of the event highlights!

I didn’t have time to try out everything I bought but I managed to wear out a few of my purchases 🙂

The top is loose-fitting which kinda made me look preggers so I tucked it in (but it’s so short, it kept coming off my shorts). I like the colour and the intricate design on the sleeves.

Got this from the wagon 🙂 It’s a very unique design for a shorts.

White romper which was launched during the Chinese New Year period this year. I actually have the same piece in Navy and love it so much that I decided to get another one in different colour! I was lucky enough to have seen it at the sale 🙂

Okay that’s about it! Will resume my food reviews shortly 😛

Please note that I will not be answering any questions relating to employment at Love, Bonito.

May is the Month of Weddings!

Hello everyone! School is officially out for me so I would be updating this space more regularly until the new school term starts in August! (Yup, a 3-month break for me)

I haven’t been writing about my life so here’s one about some happy events I had been to this month although May hasn’t ended yet.

Last month, I received a surprise Facebook invitation from a secondary school classmate whom I had not spoken to for a long time (if you don’t include birthday wishes on her wall). Syamilah and I were in the same class for the last 3 years in Hillgrove before we graduated. The last time I saw her face-to-face was on the day we received our ‘O’ level results in 2008 when we were only 18. Blessed with good looks and pretty deep dimples on both cheeks, I remember her as a very prim and proper, prudent, refined and faithful Muslim girl who hasn’t changed a bit (in terms of character) through the years. Now 24, my dear “Mylah”, as I affectionately call her, has found her lifelong partner and was ready to transition into her next phase of life :’)

The wedding reception was held at the block beside Teck Whye LRT on 4 May and only a handful were invited from my cohort. It was a wedding celebration not just for one couple, but three (the other two were Syamilah’s brothers’)! Apparently it’s normal to have more than one couple in the same Malay wedding reception but held at different time slots – how cool! But I almost went for the wrong session if not for my mom’s reminder haha. All of us arrived about 10 minutes late but we were in time to catch the kompang performance which we would always hear from a distance away and never had the chance to watch it (unless you’re some thick-skinned aunties like those we encountered at the wedding, “crashed” the wedding, see-see-look-look for a long time and walked away -_- Pretty sure they ate some food at the buffet too).

Arrive in time to catch the Malay kompang performance, an important part of a traditional Malay wedding.

Oh, did I also mention that it was the first Malay wedding I had attended? I had no idea what to wear, how much to give and what to expect at the wedding thus I did my homework prior to the wedding and found this really useful site! Click here to read if you’re going to attend your first Malay wedding as well 🙂

Even though the minimum sum to give as stated on the site is $10, I gave more than that because being Chinese Singaporean has taught me to be less buay pai seh (shameless) and more generous. Also, contrary to Amy Cheong’s belief, it is equally pricey to have wedding at the void deck with each typically costing about $10,000? Because most of the money goes to the decorations. Oh gosh! Want to have simple wedding also cannot. So yeah, giving $10 is being really cheapskate.

Also, unlike Chinese weddings, the money (in small paper envelopes) should only be given before you leave or after you are done eating! I totally forgot about it and gave it to the hosts (bride’s parents) when we arrived. This eat-first-pay-later tradition gives me the impression that Malay weddings are not out to make profits, though it may not be the case.

I also spent like an hour in front of my closet deciding on what to wear to the wedding. Bearing in mind that it was a traditional Malay wedding where you’d expect other Malay guests to be in their baju kurungs, you definitely can’t go in provocative outfits because it’s just showing disrespect to the hosts. Well, not saying that I have many revealing clothes… The most revealing one I have just bares 1/4 of my back ^___^ And I haven’t worn it out yet cos I’m rather conservative myself -_- I picked the most cheerful and conservative dress which wouldn’t make me sweat buckets in this extremely hot weather – a Lilypirates number purchased 2 years back! Never got the chance to wear it cos it’s too flare for my liking (tends to make me look fatter than I already am) but I couldn’t bear to sell it cos the colours are so pretty!

Anyway, hungry me devoured the buffet lunch before I realised I hadn’t taken a picture of it, so no pictures of the food I’M SORRY!!! Haha but it was great with the right amount of spiciness! Malay cuisine has always been one of my favourites! If I were in a canteen with only a Malay and a Chinese stall, I’d definitely go for the former! Drinks however were a little diluted with too much artificial flavourings though but that’s not a huge problem for me.

Stayed for about 45 minutes and left before the next session began! 🙂

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Rusydi!

Congratulations once again, Mr and Mrs Rusydi!

On 10 May, which was yesterday, I attended my cousin’s wedding lunch and dinner reception at Chijmes and Hilton Hotel respectively. Jiamin 姐姐 was the bride and is also one of my closest maternal cousins who tried to coach me in badminton and Math when I was 12. Despite my constant failure in both, she had never once lost her patience and temper at me 😀 I doubt she remembers any of this now since it happened a really long time ago but yup, it’s still etched in my mind! She has an older sister who got hitched 3 years ago on the special date 11 November 2011 and I got to be one of her bridesmaids. Didn’t blog about that as I wasn’t that active on the blogosphere then (i.e. lazy), oops!

Back to her wedding at Chijmes, the wedding procession was held at the multi-purpose hall which was really breathtaking! The arched ceiling and stained glass window fit into my description of my ideal church wedding. After that, we had our lunch at the French restaurant beside it. It was a French buffet and boy, all the dishes were really good! Boyfriend kept going back for the dessert – not sure what it’s called but it’s like a small cup of mango pudding – while I really loved the lemon butter cod fish. Enjoyed the couscous as well!

Boyfriend was having a massive cough so I told him to put on a face mask. Imagine the solemnizer asking if anyone on the ground disapproves of the marriage and then he coughs. That's be super awkward.

Returned home after lunch to get changed into my evening outfit (lol I know). I picked a Love Bonito dress which I bought in January during my short stint in the company supposedly for Chinese New Year. But knowing that many girls would be wearing it since it was such a popular piece, I abandoned the idea. I bought the petite version because I like my dresses to be above-knee length but it turned out a little too short for my height HAHA. I had to remind myself not to bend forward as doing so would expose my butt huggers (even though I was wearing safety shorts… you know guys’ imagination can be really wild sometimes).

It was my second time at Hilton Hotel, which I remember for its super creamy and thick American Cheesecake. I felt that the banquet was not too bad, but not phenomenal at the same time. The dish that I enjoyed the most was the starters because the chicken in beancurd roll was really good! Actually I kinda love anything that is wrapped with beancurd roll.

My apologies that most of the pictures are of the food I ate and not of the newly-weds, because I couldn’t get a good angle from where I was seated 😦

There was also a photobooth (is it a trend nowadays at wedding receptions? Hehe) near the entrance of the ballroom. I wanted to take pictures there but there was a long queue 😦

The banquet ended near midnight with Or Nee (yam paste) as the final food item. It was the bridegroom’s favourite dessert which is coincidentally mine as well! In the hot dessert category at least… Ice Kacang is still the best. 😀

Warm Yam Puree & Ginko Nuts with Pumpkin in Coconut Jus

Warm Yam Puree & Ginko Nuts with Pumpkin in Coconut Jus. I actually loved it despite people saying that it wasn’t sweet enough. I think it’s very sweet leh!? And excuse me, I have a sweet tooth too! If only it didn’t come with so much ginko nuts!

And that’s about it! Now that most of my same-generation and older cousins are married, I am starting to feel the heat from relatives. I feel that marriage is a private affair and should not be anyone else’s business so I really hope and appreciate that people would stop asking me the question and pressurizing me into ending my bachelorette life!

“WHEN IS YOUR TURN??”

HOW ABOUT NO, NEVER HAPPENING??

Kidding. Later boyfriend scold me.

The Great Love, Bonito Sale 2013

Hey ladies! As promised, a short update on my hauls from the Great Love, Bonito Sale 2013 🙂

The Great Love, Bonito Sale poster

The Great Love, Bonito Sale poster

I was invited as a VIP to the sale via e-mail about two weeks before the event and that came as a surprise to me because I didn’t know I had spent so much at Love, Bonito 😛 They didn’t reveal the criteria for the selection but I guess the amount I spent should be the deciding factor. Anyway when the e-mail landed in my inbox I still furrowed my brows, thinking that it was a repeated mail as LB had mass-sent a notification about the sale beforehand and I almost wanted to trash it without reading. LOL! The shopaholic in me must have stopped me from doing so!! *phew*

VIP Invitation by Love, Bonito. Thanks LB!

VIP Invitation by Love, Bonito. Thanks LB! P/S: My chinese name censored because I am weirdly uncomfortable with revealing my full name online. If you know it, then good for you!

I had the choice of attending on the first (19 July, Friday) or second (20 July, Saturday) day of the event. Because I had work on Saturday and I knew it was going to be very crowded on a weekend, I chose the first day! And I was also allowed to bring a friend along! Since I was returning from Batam with my Bf, of course my Bf had to come along with me to help carry my stuff while I shopped HAHAHA

As you might have read previously, I went directly to Novotel Clarke Quay from Batam so I was carrying many barang barangs with me. I could feel all eyes were on me when I arrived LOL. It’s alright I think no one knew me there, I hope.

So when I reached at 8.30am (event started at 11.00am for non-VIPs), there were already 3 lines of queues formed and I stupidly joined the queue without realising that there was another one for VIPs just next to it. Anyway I was there early because the first 100 customers to arrive would be given a goodie bag each worth $150. Being Singaporean, how could I miss such a deal? HAHAHA But once again, I didn’t realise VIPs were ALL given goodie bags regardless of how late they arrived -_- So I gave up my goodie bag ticket to Bf’s friend who happened to sit next to us  and wasn’t among the first 100th customers (you lucky girl).

Before doors opened to the VIPs (sorry if I sound very haughty but this is the shortest term to describe people who were given the exclusive invitation) we were invited to have some refreshments at the front! Wow lovin’ the VIP treatment! 🙂

We were then given the green light to enter the ballroom 1 hour before the actual sales event started! Rachel, one of the co-owners of Love, Bonito kindly allowed us to leave our huge backpacks and barang barangs at the reception so that we could shop with ease! So nice of her!

With ms_rach and I look so worn out

With the very gorgeous and well-groomed ms_rach. I look so worn out and haggard even Photoshop can’t save me -_- (ootd: Catwalkclose Lilith Floral Romper and ASOS Belt)

There were less than 50 customers including Bf and I in the ballroom when we first entered and it was awesome! We had the entire ballroom of clothes all to ourselves and we snapped up all the nice apparels without breaking a sweat! Yay I love being a VIP!!

Xiaoqing couldn’t make it on both days of the sale so she asked me to get clothes for her. So while shopping for my stuff, I also gave her live updates via Whatsapp LOL! I took pictures of the dresses I picked for her and asked if she wanted them.

While rummaging the racks, there was a Browhaus and Strip goodie bag giveaway and to win it, one had to go up on stage to answer a simple question. Bf lured me to the front and made me go up on stage -_- No one else bothered about the giveaway because they were too busy picking out clothes! Hahaha GOOD FOR ME! So yes, the first giveaway winner of the sale was me 😛

My loots!!

My loots!! And the goodie bags 🙂 Purple is mine and green is my Bf’s who of course didn’t need it so.. it’s mine now! Hahaha

Unlike the previous LB sale events I went to, I didn’t see any BonitoChico clothes anymore which was great! Because honestly I wouldn’t even want to pay $10 for something that’s outdated.

As you can see I really had a great time at the sale. But being VIP (same goes to other VIPs too) would also mean that we’d spent a lot at every launch so we probably already own many of the stuff sold at the sale. I was actually looking for Tasha Toga but I didn’t see it there 😦

Saw some pixies near Central giving out flyers and balloons! I just had to take a picture with the pastel-coloured balloons cos they're so pretty. (And returned the balloons after that)

Spring/Summer + Rainbow 2012

Ever since I became a full-time hire, my spending power somehow increased and I’ve been splurging on clothes and accessories 😦 But it can be a good thing depending on how you look at it. No doubt I’m essentially more receptive to designs that I once thought were too wild or bizarre to wear (of course, Lady Gaga’s style still remains under the “weird” category that only can be carried off by herself) and have slowly moved away from boring neutrals. Now I feel much more comfortable wearing COLOURS! My favourite types of designs are those mentioned on the title – lace and floral prints! Okay to be honest anything that has floral prints just appeals to me, so naturally most of my clothes (even those that I bought BEFORE I became like this) have at least 1 stalk of flower printed on them. LOL! You can call me a walking flower pot.

After buying excessively for close to a year, my wardrobe is bursting and I have to resort to putting my clothes on my work desk. I decided to CURB MY SPENDING POWER and NO SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATION!! But sometimes you’ve gotta blame on stress + boredom (interning at a fashion magazine publication house does play a part too)… they bring you to platforms where online shoppers post their recommendations and reviews and the craving starts again 😛 But of course I do have a limit. Like I wouldn’t spend more than $35 for an item (unless it’s in extremely good quality and I REALLY love it and I can foresee it as a staple). Poverty sucks 😦

My favourite picks (but didn’t buy because I couldn’t bear to part with my money):

ASOS Skater Dress in Rainbow Print - £32.00

Karen Millen Smudge Print Dress – £140.00

House Of Holland Stripe Poncho Dress In Silk - £180.00

House Of Holland Stripe Poncho Dress In Silk – £180.00

Gorgeous, aren’t they? My personal favourite is still the Ted Baker dress but it can never be mine unless I turn into some hardcore shopaholic, and also because my boyfriend doesn’t like me in anything that looks like a toga. ?_?

But seriously, is it only the high-end brands that are capable of manufacturing such lovely prints and colours?? Those low to middle end ones, I understand about the fabric quality being way inferior but, I mean if you’ve got a talent in designing, you should be able to produce nice designs, right? O_O Ok I’m not an interior/fashion design student so pardon my ignorance. Hahaha.

So because I can’t bear to part with most of my money for the above (I don’t mind sponsors though *coughcoughs*), I spend my money on another cheaper alternative which is – yes you guessed it – blogshops! Four years ago I had this very bad impression of blogshops because even on their “studio” pictures, the quality of the apparels looked very bad. And most of them imported clothes from Korea/Taiwan which I thought were too cutesy and overrated (the exact same kind of top for example is sold on many different blogshops). But today it’s a totally different issue with blogshops manufacturing their own clothes, even though some many be blatantly copied from renowned designers.

And here are some loots from ASOS. It’s probably my most atas online shopping destination. It has such a wide range of products and they are always on sale! Love it to bits 🙂

Timex Nylon Watch - Pink/Green

So cuuuuuteeee… the watch.

The moustache earrings are so irresistibly adorable and they attracted so much attention (and giggles) when I wore it to work haha. And the watch is so eye-catching yet youthful. It’s also in PINK, my favourite colour! What more can I ask for? Hehehe! I am very sure I won’t bump into someone of the same watch in Orchard Road!

Oh and talking about ASOS, I almost didn’t manage to see my moustache stud earrings and Timex watch as my parcel had my unit number totally left out -_- Thank God the mail carrier remembered my name (because she delivered a lot of parcels to my doorstep prior to that) and passed it to me! How horrifying, it could’ve been a lost mail worth more than SG$100 lor (of course there were other items in the parcel as well, not just the earrings and the watch)! My last check on ASOS.com showed that I did input my address correctly (I mean of course I did, or else how could I have received my whole lot of items previously?) so it could be an error on their side. And I was so glad ASOS’ very efficient customer service helped to rectify the matter and assured me that my address would be printed correctly on my next purchase. *thumbs up*

Okay I’m tired! Gotta work tomorrow 😦

Online Shopping

Hokay since I am in the mood to blog, TWO BLOG POSTS! Because, why not? 🙂

This shall be a happy and light entry! Hopefully along the way it doesn’t change its direction and become an angsty one instead. Haha 😛

Recently I have been going for retail therapy because the amount of stress I face at work is enough to drive me insane so yes, I’ve sunk deeper and deeper into online shopping as my weird working hours won’t allow me to patronise shop fronts. Although it is very harmful to my wallet, it no doubt brings numerous joy to my mundane life, especially when I open up my mail box after a long day at work and see a parcel meant for me! HAHA. The little joy in life seriously!! But I seldom have the chance to wear my newly-bought apparels as they not suitable for work (will appear overdressed) so they will be kept in my closet until school starts!

Some of my top favourite online shopping sites are ASOS (prices can be a little steep but quality is assured), Love, Bonito (really good quality pieces at affordable prices!), Lily Pirates and Lacepipe 😀 The last three sites are based locally.

A few weeks back I went to ZARA@Somerset313 to hunt for a floral blazer which I came across online. IT WAS MAD GORGEOUS but super expensive (like duh it’s ZARA). I contemplated hard and left the boutique without getting it because I couldn’t part with my moolah. Major upset! 😦 So when I went to ION last Monday I had this temptation to enter ZARA again to see if it was still in stock! YES it was!! And in MY size! 😀 And my boyfriend insisted to get it for me -_- Almost tore the blazer in the boutique ‘coz we were snatching from each other (me wanting to put it back to the rack and him wanting to pay). Guess who won?

That’s all from me! I wanted to blog about friends outing but tinypic doesn’t seem to work after uploading the above picture. Must be because my blazer too boomz already!! So yup, shall blog about it on my next entry!
