Singapore’s leading department store, Takashimaya recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a little unveiling party to introduce a couple of new brands such as HERA, Fresh and Albion, as well as to reveal the transformation of some existing counters.
The press event – hosted by Jade Seah and Marie Alexander – kicked off last Tuesday (the day before Hari Raya Haji) with live makeup demonstrations by celebrity makeup artist Ginger Lynette using products from the aforementioned brands. HERA’s global makeup artist Lee Sehyoung was also present to work his magic on the face of the model while giving some insightful tips with other respective trainers on how to achieve flawless skin using the brand’s makeup products. Following that, Class 95 radio deejay Jean Danker opened Day 2 of the event by inviting makeup maestro Peter Khor to take centre stage to demonstrate his coveted skills.

Cult beauty label Chantecaille (pronounced shan-duh-kai) finally opens its first outlet in South East Asia at TAKASHIMAYA!
The brand’s founder Sylvie Chantecaille is an anti-poaching advocate, so don’t be surprised to find images of at-risk animals embossed on the eye-shadow pans of its signature and collectible palettes!
The embossing has already worn away with use, but you can roughly make out the elephant print on two of the pans
